Elyse Saunders Releases New Single “Never Have I Ever”

Elyse Saunders is a Peterborough, Ontario native and 2023 CMAOntario award winning artist, who has shown her talents through her songwriting, vocals, and performance abilities.

Music has been a part of her life since she could remember.

“My heart felt like country is where I should be because I love the storytelling and authenticity of country music,” she said.

Some of her musical heroes growing up were Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton and some current influences are Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, and Maren Morris.

Elyse recently released her new single “Never Have I Ever” who she wrote with fellow Canadian country singer Jason Blaine. Elyse has the thought of playing on the idea of the drinking game but turning it into a flirty love song. “Never Have I Ever” is about a couple who are spilling their truth and feeling a way they’ve never felt before.

The music video for “Never Have I Ever” is premiering on Thursday, February 22!

Elyse Saunders released her debut album in 2008, which was her first time stepping out as a professional artist and songwriter. After that record she decided to step back and develop herself as a person and artist because she was very young at the time of the debut release.

“I wanted to take a step back and develop myself as a stronger writer and entertainer,” she said.

Her debut album was a cover album of songs she could relate to, which was followed by her second album I’m On My Way. This album was her first time sharing music that she’d written. That album captured more of the journey of who she was at the time.

As she has grown as an artist over the years, played more shows, and developed a larger fanbase Elyse has been able to showcase her journey.

Elyse Saunders recently was awarded iHeartRadio’s Future Star award and Rogers One to Watch Highlight Artist, which has opened up many doors for her with this new single.
