In Steinbach, Manitoba, Matt Zimmerman grew up listening to classic country and fiddle music and grew to really enjoy the genre of country music.
With the goal of becoming a songwriter for other artists, Matt enjoys writing lyrics that resonate with the human experience. “It’s about being a part of someone’s journey and I’m hopeful someone will want me to join them on that,” he said.
Since country music is all about emotion, when songwriting Matt tries to take the emotions he’s feeling and the emotions people around him are feeling and put that into music.
Growing up he traveled to many different small towns in Manitoba, which inspired his new song “Farmer Town,” which is all about the reason these small towns exist is to support the agriculture and farming industry.
“Farmer Town” is Matt’s third single he has released as an artist and plans to continue releasing more.
Matt Zimmerman just completed his Farmer Town Tour with nine stops, which is his largest tour to date and just released a music video for “Farmer Town!”
