Coming off of the success of his latest EP Six, Don Amero’s single “Can’t Fix This” hit country radio last week.
Don wrote this song in Nashville with two other amazing Canadian songwriters, Dave Thomson and Patricia Conroy.
In the writing session Don reflected on how any long term relationship has its ups and downs and some things that you have trouble fixing, which is the message behind the song.
“Can’t Fix This” is for anyone who has been through a brokenness in a relationship and doesn’t know how to fix it.
Don has always liked the vibe and energy of the song and it has a story that resonates with so many people, which is why he chose it to be a radio single.
“Can’t Fix This” is important to Don because it is a song that he wrote and has a strong connection to.
Don Amero is working on finalizing his next record, which he is aiming to release in the fall of this year. With the record in mind he is also hoping to go on a fall tour!
His summer is jam packed with many festivals including Dauphin’s Countryfest in Winnipeg, MB.
Don Amero and his band are starting a fun, new experience for fans to join them during a weekly band practice!
“Under the Veil” is taking place every Wednesday evening in May at the West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg. Fans will have the opportunity to see Don and his band work through songs and hang out with them for the evening!
“We thought, let’s lift the veil and show people how we put songs together and hang out with us at the West End Cultural Centre,” he said. “I’m excited for the future and everything that is to come.”
