Robyn Ottolini is an artist who puts her thoughts, feelings, and personal experiences in her songwriting, which makes it easy for her fans to feel a connection and relate to her music.
Robyn’s dad raised her on country radio and she grew up loving the genre. She discovered that music brought her joy and wanted to pursue it.
Robyn is inspired by Kacey Musgraves and Maren Morris and likes music that has a message and powerful lyrics that are different from what everyone else is doing.
Robyn recently released her six-track EP, Growing Up To Do.
“I really wanted to choose songs for this EP that I just love myself, whether they were going to go viral or not I just love these songs and their messages,” she said.
These songs were all from the last year of her life and each one is a stage in the growing up process and being in your 20’s.
A song that stands out to her is “Sick of Sex,” which got her through a time where she was feeling not enough or used by people and the song helped her process those feelings.
Robyn feels more comfortable releasing music that is vulnerable and personal.
“I think I’m coming into a time when honesty is welcomed, not shunned,” Robyn said. “I’m not the girl who can write or sing a boring song. I want to make people laugh or make them go, ‘Holy sh*t!’”
Her music has developed a connection with many people with over 100 million global streams.
Robyn is heading out on The All My Friends Are Hot Tour later this month.
“I’m very excited to spend time and get to know my fans on this tour,” she said.
